Summer in Pinecrest
Friends of Pinecrest President’s Message
Well, the snow has melted and the bears are awake, which means it's officially summer in Pinecrest!
Welcome to the season where we trade our snow boots for hiking boots and our ski poles for fishing poles. It’s paddle and pedal time in the Pinecrest Basin.
Are you ready to explore everything our beautiful basin has to offer? Whether you're hiking the countless trails, swimming in the lake, casting a line for trout, mountain biking, or simply camping under the stars, there's something for everyone.
But before you disappear into the wilderness for the entire summer, we’d love to see you at our annual general membership meeting on the morning of August fifteenth at the amphitheater. It's brief, painless, and I promise the view is worth it. That same afternoon and evening, stick around for our Emergency Services Dinner, our biggest fundraiser of the year. It's a wonderful way to support the Strawberry Volunteer Fire Department, the Pinecrest Volunteer Fire Department, and the Dodge Ridge Ski Patrol, who keep us safe year-round. Plus, the food is actually quite good.
Consider becoming a member or renewing your membership if you haven't already. Your support helps us advocate for our basin and fund the programs and services that make Pinecrest special.
Here's to a summer filled with adventure, fresh mountain air, and maybe just a little bit of a sunburn to prove you were actually outside.

Friends of Pinecrest was established in 2014 for visitors like yourselves, who love the area, are concerned about its future and want to maintain it for generations to come. That’s what Friends of Pinecrest is all about. We work collectively with many organizations who have influence in and around the Pinecrest Basin. Our goals are likely yours.
